Maternal Newborn & Child Health Week

It's that time of year again—Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Week is here! From December 9th to 13th, all primary health centers across the 23 LGAs in Rivers State will be offering the following services free of charge: For Pregnant Mothers: • Free registration at our facilities • Free deliveries • Tetanus injections For Women of Childbearing Age: • Cervical cancer screenings • Voluntary HIV screenings For Children: • Nutritional screening and intervention • Vitamin A supplementation • Deworming • Diarrhea counseling and Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORT) • Routine immunizations, including the rotavirus and HPV vaccines For Men: • General routine physical check-ups Additionally, daily health education sessions will be held at each facility, covering key health topics.
